Finish Strong with KernelFiller™

If you're considering adding KernelFiller™ to a corn fungicide pass, that's actually one of its primary use timings. Yield Innovations positions KernelFiller as a tank-mix partner for VT through R3 fungicide applications to help supply late-season nutrients (N, S, Zn, Mn, and B) during grain set and kernel fill.

Key points:

  • Timing: Apply from approximately V14 through R3. VT/R1 fungicide timing is the most common fit.
  • Rate: KernelFiller is typically used at 1 qt/A
  • Compatibility: It is marketed as mixing easily with fungicides and being a good tank-mix partner for tar spot and other VT/R3 fungicide applications.
  • KernelFiller Complete: If you're using the Complete version, it is designed as a "ready-to-blend" product with fungicides and water, reducing the number of products added to the tank.

As with any fungicide tank mix:

  1. Follow the fungicide label.
  2. Conduct a jar test if you're mixing multiple products or adjuvants.
  3. Watch water volume and agitation, especially with complex mixes.
